Comparative Constitutional Law
About the Project
Because constitutional rights norms are vital to strengthening legal positions on the right to health, I devote an aspect of my scholarship to examining how these norms influence legal relationships between states and individuals, particularly in under-resourced settings to enhance health capabilities. Engaging a comparative analytical framework, my scholarship examines how different constitutional arrangements in under-resourced settings radiate constitutional right norms to create an objective order of values which apply to all areas of law and enhance legal positions on the right to health. I am interested in how these values provide guidelines and impulses for the legislature, administration, and judiciary to act towards strengthening the right to health to enhance health capabilities for local populace. I am also interested in how these constitutional rights norms inspire grassroot activism on health.
