The Lincoln Alexander Law Constitutional Law Society (CLAS) explores contemporary issues related to constitutional law. CLAS supports Lincoln Alexander School of Law’s vision of “setting a new precedent” in legal education by supporting the development of a new generation of constitutionally and critically informed legal advocates. CLAS goes beyond traditional Settler constitutionalism to explore other legal orders and relationships.
Through student-led roundtable presentations of new scholarship and facilitated group discussions with guest speakers, the CLAS aims to build community, practice rights-based legal research, and deepen student understanding of the impacts of constitutional law developments over a wide-breadth of areas.
CLAS supports JUR107 with 1L section representatives and concept synthesis sessions, including exam prep.
